The Bell Curve

Posted by on Aug 6, 2013

Life operates on a bell curve in a variety of ways from skill to IQ to height and weight. In the sexual marketplace on one end there are women who are attracted right off the bat and on the other end there are women that no matter what you say or do you’ll never be seen as attractive and won’t have a shot with them. The bulk of women fall somewhere between these two ends of the spectrum. Naturals and a lot of PUAs do what I would describe as not having good game, but are good at screening women for those who are warm to their approach, allowing them to find women who are their type so they get laid quicker and more often. When you zoom out and start looking at the bigger picture, that bulk of women that fall somewhere in the middle of that bell curve, good game IMO is what lets you get them. Adam Lyons once said something similar to all of this in that everyone is only attractive up to a certain point, and...

Being alpha doesn’t necessarily mean being popular

Posted by on Nov 4, 2013

Can you be an alpha without leading  or otherwise being the center of a social group? The answer is a definitive yes. A lot of people on /r/theredpill, especially the newer (and younger sounding) users tend to think that if they’re not constantly the center of attention then they’re not alpha. This is nothing but narcissism manifesting itself as weakness. It’s such a black and white view and it buys into the overarching primitively sung narrative by the would-be detractors of red philosophy that the red pill is about turning chimpanzees into silverback gorillas who can beat their chests the loudest and transform into vagina slaying men of the jungle as if we’re all still the hairy neanderthal subjects of an ancient wilderness; just like the silver tinge to the silverback gorillas coat, there are many shades of grey, fuck it, probably as many as 50 shades of grey when it comes to “being alpha.” Sometimes even when someone’s got more social power within a group than you they don’t necessarily flaunt it by making a grandiose show or otherwise hitting...

How Feminism Has Manipulated The English Language & The Concept of Equality

Posted by on Sep 3, 2013

In George Orwell’s dystopian (that’s smart-talk for “scary fucking fictional future”) novel Nineteen Eighty-Four he implemented the concept of a language called newspeak. Newspeak was a boiled-down version of the English language. It was used by the totalitarian regime as a tool to limit free-thought; concepts outside of the established verbal construct were considered “thought-crime”. Concepts like freedom, rebellion, individuality, and peace could not be verbally explained within the confines of newspeak: “If thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.” ― George Orwell, 1984 However, they didn’t just ban words, they changed them too. For example, the word “free” still existed in newspeak but could only be used in terms of something not being possessed, as in, “the dog is free from lice” or, “this field is free from weeds.” It could not be used in terms of being able to do as one pleases, as in “free choice” or “free will” since these concepts no longer existed. “We do not merely destroy our enemies; we change them.” ― George Orwell, 1984 As you have likely realized by now, I’m...

Chivalry is a Beta Move, Right?

Chivalry is a Beta Move, Right?

Aug 23, 2013

Chivalry. We’re all aware of the basic idea, opening a door for a girl, letting her exit the elevator first, pulling out her chair, etcetera… Now as far as I’m aware, this is the general consensus within the Manosphere: Chivalry is about as Beta as you get. No. It’s worse than Beta…. It’s Omega. Chivalry is what “nice guys” do. And we all know what happens to… “nice guys”. I’m here to dispel this theory. Or at least, offer a counter point of view. The Origin of Chivalry Contrary to popular belief, Chivalry is not about being every woman on earth’s personal manservant. Well, it wasn’t, at least. As Ian Ironwood discussed in this excellent article; The Knights of Chivalry and The Vows of Knighthood were mostly about honour, combat, glory, respect, authority, duty, responsibility, and honesty. So Chivalry is without a doubt a manly thing. One of the most famous examples of Chivalry is to not stab someone in the back. They should be facing you, sword drawn. I’m fairly confident this is meant both physically and metaphorically. Problem is, the meaning today has been boiled down to just the one code: To respect the honour of women. A quick note to the feminists who believe that that rule was born from times when women were assumed to be “weak and defenceless”: To protect the weak and defenceless To give succour to widows and orphans To fight for the welfare of all To respect the honour of women. Notice that, “To protect the weak and defenseless”, and “To respect the honour of women”. Are two different rules. Chivalry In Society Look carefully at how this is written: To respect the honour of women. “Enhance,” says the main protagonist to the tech-guy in NCIS. To respect women’s honour. “Enhance,” he says again, adjusting his dark sunglasses. To respect honourable women. “Now invert it horizontally.” You don’t have to be chivalrous to bitches. You can then extend this to, “You don’t have to be chivalrous to girls you don’t know.” Hence doing away with one of the problem Dalrock brought up in this very sarcastically written article on the topic. This is the “all men...

Losing Time

Losing Time

Aug 22, 2013

I’ve been taking the Red Pill for about three years now, and the most common lament I hear coming from fellow Red Pillers is this: “I only wish I’d discovered this stuff sooner. Imagine where I would be now if I’d taken the Red Pill x years ago.” If there’s one sentiment that most (if not all) Red Pillers can sympathize with, it’s this one. Wasted time feels like the worst kind of loss. Time is the most precious resource. It is the one and only thing which, once spent, cannot be replenished. Men are creatures of drive, purpose, and ambition. We pride ourselves on our accomplishments – waste is the bane of our lives, and we seek to stamp it out wherever we can find it. So it’s easy – beguiling even – to look with regret and sorrow at the Blue Pill years of your life, spent toiling in ignorance, driven by imperatives and agendas that were not entirely your own. And for what? Nothing? I disagree. And here’s why: Because you can’t know how things might have turned out otherwise. Let’s face it: the Red Pill is a bitter pill. It makes no apologizes about the brutish, opportunistic nature of sexual and social politics. For anyone coming from years of indoctrination in pleasant lies, it can seem unreal and pessimistic. It takes PAIN to make the Red Pill seem real. If there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that pain is a necessary component of the learning process. A mistake is not truly a mistake, and a lesson not truly learned, unless your error has harmed you in some significant way to make the lesson stick. Imagine if you had found the Red Pill too early. Imagine if you had read about Red Pill ideas before the prolonged, soul-flaying tedium or the singular, heart-shattering betrayal that has now led you to it? Would you you still have accepted it? My guess is, probably not. You might have formed a negative preconception about the Red Pill in that moment. You could have dismissed it as “extremist, misogynist nonsense”, and inoculated yourself against its lessons later when you finally sustained the injury...

A Simple Workout to Get You Started

A Simple Workout to Get You Started

Aug 21, 2013

Resistance training is probably one of the best habits one can pick up. Its positive effects are too numerous to mention here, but rest assured that the development of a strong and healthy body is beneficial to your life in just about every aspect that matters. The training itself is quite simple. You load up a barbell with weights and you move it up and down with your body. The hardest part, in my opinion, is overcoming resistance not to gravity, but to the act of integrating resistance training into your life. People often put up various mental blocks that keep them from getting into a fitness grove. For some, learning a wide array of unfamiliar movements is a daunting and unappealing task. For others, the thought of allocating an hour and a half (plus transit and shower time) to working out just doesn’t seem practical. What I am about to propose to you is a dead-simple, minimalist routine that can be completed in less than 45 minutes, 30 if you hustle. The Workout: Deadlift: 3 sets of 5 repetitions Standing Overhead Press: 3 sets of 5 repetitions Perform this routine 3 days per week on non-consecutive days (e.g., Monday-Wednesday-Friday) Start off with a weight you can comfortably do 1 set of 10 repetitions with. Focus on perfect form. It’s okay if your form isn’t perfect (spoiler: it never will be) but perfection should be your aim. Rest between sets as long as you feel you need to complete the next set of repetitions. Add 5 lbs to your lifts after each successfully completed session.   The Reasoning: The deadlift and the overhead press are approximations of two fundamental movements: picking something up off the ground and pushing something up over your head. Together, they will give you great functional strength and work just about every major muscle group from head to toe.  If you were to apply Pareto’s law to the weight lifting, this author believes that these two lifts are all that would remain. There is no need for extraneous ab work. Your core will be worked plenty by simply keeping your torso rigid while executing these lifts. Some of you may...

The Bell Curve

The Bell Curve

Life operates on a bell curve in a variety of ways from skill to IQ to height and weight. In the sexual marketplace on one end there are women who are attracted right off the bat and on the other end there are women that no matter what you say or do you’ll never be seen as attractive and won’t have a shot with them. The bulk of women fall somewhere between these two ends of the spectrum. When you zoom out and start looking at the bigger picture, that bulk of women that fall somewhere in the middle of that bell curve, good game IMO is what lets you get them. Adam Lyons once said something similar to all of this in that everyone is only attractive up to a certain point, and to “punch above your weight” you’ll need to have solid game. Typically game will only let you get women about 1 point of SMV higher than yourself. Really tight game may get you a 2 point bump. Using the number system, if you’re a 7 then you’ll usually pull 7s and below. You’ll need good game to get 8s and incredible game to get 9s. So where does the bell curve fit in? A) Game lets you get women who you’re NOT naturally attractive for B) There are woman out there who will be naturally attracted to you for whatever reason, so with them you don’t even have to run game really, you just have to not fuck it up That guy who is a 7 may be an 8 or 9s perfect guy for some reason and may not need much game to get them. It happens once in a while, as in the Marisa Tomei/George Constanza sense. However, that’s an extremely rare occurrence from what I’ve experienced personally, which is why screening is so important, mainly so you’re not fighting an...

Fallacy, Shaming, Control, and Indoctrination… Sure Looks Like a Liberal Agenda to Me

Fallacy, Shaming, Control, and Indoctrination… Sure Looks Like a Liberal Agenda to Me

Aug 2, 2013

“Feminism is for Conservatives too! It shouldn’t be a radical or leftist idea to support equal rights for women.” Here’s my problem with that. It’s a loaded statement. Technically speaking, I support Women’s Rights – technically. I just don’t like the Liberal’s version of it, ergo, Feminism. I don’t support Feminism for two main reasons. 1. Because it shares the same four telltale signs of a Liberal agenda: Fallacy, Shaming, Control, and Indoctrination. Hence the title of this post. 2. We don’t need to fight for Women’s Rights anymore. Honest. The revolution ended decades ago. The only reason it’s still here is because it the Liberal Feminists are refusing to relinquish their victimhood. To do that, would be to accept responsibility. Gasp. You see, female Conservatives/Libertarians don’t need feminism, look at Conservatarian Dana Loesch, she’s married, homeschools two boys, and a voice in the media (oh and she’s an ex-Liberal Feminist). I know what you’re thinking, “My gosh! She should be on the cover of Woman’s Weekly. SUPERMOM! How does she do it all!!??” Honestly I have no freaking idea, but the important thing is – she did it without Feminism. Note: It’s no secret the majority of Manospherians tend to be Right-Wing. In fact, this article seemed to say, there may be an unproportional number of Libertarians in the Manosphere (whether they know it or not). But, I digress. However for the sake of coherence, I’m lumping Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, and Right-Wingers, as Conservatives; and Progressives, Liberals, Democrats, and Left-Wingers as Liberals. And if you don’t really know what those words mean, here’s a quick crash course in basic Politics: Conservatives want to be your father, Liberals want to be your mother, and Libertarians just want to be treated like fucking adults. So let’s dive into why Feminism looks like Liberal Agenda to me: Logical Fallacies & Shaming Tactics I was inspired to write this article after reading DarlingDoll’s excellent response to and deconstruction of the question, “Dear Anti-Feminists, what do you stand for?”. The feminist goes on to ask (emphasis mine): I’m not against anti-feminists because I understand everyone has their own opinions, but it just makes me wonder, what do they...

How Pre-Selection Affects Your Online Dating Profile

How Pre-Selection Affects Your Online Dating Profile

Jul 31, 2013

Pre-selection. Pretty much every tenet of game revolves around this concept. The idea is simple: Women want a man of value. The best indicator of a man with value is finding a man that other women are attracted to. It’s a meta signal, because men start exhibiting traits that demonstrate preselection instead of traits that show actual value in a mate. Strength, money, access to resources are actually beneficial to a potential mate. Instead, men find they can exhibit these meta-traits to attract women, because possessing these meta traits demonstrate access to women, who theoretically found him to display other traits of value (such as strength or access to resources). Of course, that means if you can learn to exploit preselection, you can more likely attract mates without necessarily possessing the actual traits that give a man value, only the ones that signal that others think you do! Being seen in public with a woman or multiple women is the standard of pre-selection social proof. Almost all the signals that game attempts to exploit are all attempts at hacking pre-selection, by giving the appearance of pre-selection when there is none actually happening: Abundance Mentality – playing it fast and loose with women because you don’t need any single one of them since you’ve always got more Displaying confidence – showing that this isn’t your first rodeo signals that you’ve been with other women Both of these fake pre-selection by displaying traits that would otherwise be present in people who have been pre-selected by other women. These hacks have been useful in creating what’s known as the gaming community or pickup community. But there’s a major game changer on the scene: Online dating. The Problem of Online Dating and Pre-Selection The problem with online dating is that it signals something very anti-pre-selection: You do not have a mate or options, so you are going online to find one. Even if it’s not true, there is an undertone that being online means you are unable to attract mates elsewhere. Naturally, the tendency of game-savvy men is to still attempt to game on their profiles. But it’s difficult if you don’t recognize the disadvantages of pre-selection in this context....

Feminism & Personal Freedom

Feminism & Personal Freedom

Jul 26, 2013

If you’re ever in need of a good laugh, I sincerely recommend you throw over to WhoNeedsFeminism.com. If you’re not already aware, Who Needs Feminism is a site where women and (I am ashamed to say) some men write a reason for why they need feminism on a piece of paper of some sort, eg. “I need feminism because sexual girl power traditional social construct empowerment rape culture blah blah vaginal superiority.” Granted, for that level of sarcasm you’d need to go to WhoNeedsFeminism.org. This site is essentially one giant troll to their “dotcom” cousin; and a giant, sarcastic middle finger to feminism (They’re a non for profit organization, they just really want to get the information out there). The reason I’m going into all this is simply because earlier I was surprised at just how many of the posts left me thinking, “And so to fix this… you would do… what exactly?” Let me give you a few examples: Notice the similarity between all of these? If you were to go to each of these girls and ask them what they want done about it, the answers would almost certainly be “They shouldn’t be allowed to say that stuff anymore!” So then the question to ask simply is, what ACTUALLY would you do about it? Ban it? Pass legislation to prohibit people saying anything to offend you or any other delicate flower in the entire country? Label “rape jokes” as “hate speech”? Make it a crime for anyone to openly disagree with the feminist doctrine? Freedom of speech anyone? Oh and in 2012 a radical group of feminists in Europe wanted to ban wolf-whistling and men calling women “darling”. YES. They want to take away men’s whistling rights. Oh but there’s more: Not only do they wish to take away our freedom of speech, but this young girl is after our looking rights! Because somehow, male appreciation of a female’s “feminine attributes” is offensive to her? Forgiving me for jumping to conclusions but I can’t help but feel as though this is eerily… Socialist? Or communist or fascist or whatever trendy word is being tossed around these days. But I know what you’re...
